What is the Youth Mass?
The Youth Mass is not a different Mass - it is the same eternal sacrifice of Jesus Christ, celebrated by and with the youth of Holy Trinity. What makes it distinct is the intentional role that our high school youth play in making it happen. This is not a Mass where youth just sit in the pews and watch. This is a Mass where the youth lead, serve, and use the gifts that the Holy Spirit has given them.
How the Youth Serve
The High School Youth Ministry and Confirmation programs serve Holy Trinity through the Youth Mass in the following ministries:
High School Youth Choir
The Youth Choir, led by our Sunday 5PM Mass music director, Melissa, and cantor, Viki, are the voices that lift the Mass. The youth select the music, rehearse together, and offer their gifts to God and the parish.

Lectors
Lectors proclaim the Word of God to the faithful. They are not just reading - they are participating in the ancient tradition of the Church. Formation and preparation are provided for all youth lectors.

Collectors
Collectors assist with the offertory collection, gathering the gifts of the faithful that support the life and the mission of the parish. It is a humble ministry - and humility is always close to holiness.

Altar Servers
Altar servers assist the priest during the celebration of the Mass. This ministry places youth at the very heart of the liturgy - close to the Eucharist, close to the priest, and close to the mystery of Christ’s sacrifice made present.

Ushers
Ushers welcome every person who walks through the doors of Holy Trinity. They are the first face people see - and the first act of hospitality the parish offers. This ministry forms students in charity, attentiveness, and the dignity of every person.

Gift Bearers
Gift Bearers carry the bread and wine to the altar during the Offertory - a visible sign of the entire congregation’s offering to God. In this moment, the gifts of the people are presented to become the Body and Blood of Christ.

Why Does Serving at Mass Matter?
Service at the Youth Mass is not a box to check for Youth Ministry or Confirmation. It is formation. Every youth who serves at Mass is learning what it means to be a Catholic who does not just receive the faith but gives it back - through their time, their presence, and their gifts. The Mass is the source and summit of the Christian life, and every role in it is sacred.
